With regular industrial visits, the students are able to identify their prospective area of work like Manufacturing, thermal and design etc. This also gives students a platform to enhance their interpersonal skills. The students get to see the best practices opted by different companies for similar work. Industry visits sensitize students to the practical challenges that organizations face in the business world. Industrial visits also give greater clarity about various management concepts for students as they can practically see how these concepts are put into action. Visits to manufacturing firms are useful for students. To understand the nuances and realities of the shop floor, this in itself is a rare exposure.

The students are encouraged to take up internship programs during their semester breaks. Faculty members give their guidelines, suggestions and scope and contact details of an internship. They also help the students by interacting with the industry experts; provide the student’s recommendation letters and other necessary supports. The alumni coordinator constantly interacts with alumni those who are working in the industries and request them to provide necessary guidelines and supports for their junior’s internship.

Students in person or faculty advisors advise students to take internship in a company of their area of interest. They communicate with the HR department and once it is approved with the company, students have to take permission from the University and go for the internship.
