Bengaluru, 8 May 2025 – JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) hosted the Inceptrix Hackathon 2025, a dynamic 24-hour national-level innovation challenge that brought together 100 top-performing student innovators from over 500 applicants representing 27 states across India. The event, organised by the Tech Council and held at the Seminar Hall, FET Block, aimed to nurture real-world problem-solving through technological creativity and collaborative thinking.

Inceptrix Hackathon 2025 captured national interest with over 48,000 digital impressions on Unstop and 1,000+ website visits, positioning it as one of the most prominent university-led hackathons in the country. The initiative was graced by dignitaries from leading industry organisations, including Dell, Shell, Groww, and People10 Technology, as well as senior academic leadership from JAIN (Deemed-to-be University).

The event commenced with a formal inauguration ceremony, including a traditional lamp lighting and welcome addresses. The keynote was delivered by Dr Geeta, Director at JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), who highlighted the importance of empowering youth through platforms that bridge academia and industry. Mr Jawahar Nation, Chief Mentor at JGI, further inspired students to challenge convention and contribute meaningfully to society through innovation. Representatives from Dell, Shell, and Groww expressed their appreciation for the event's scale, structure, and student-led enthusiasm.

"Innovation begins when we step out of our comfort zones and start solving real-world problems," stated Dr Geeta during her inaugural address.

"Your ideas today could be the solutions the world needs tomorrow," added Mr Jawahar Nation, urging participants to approach the challenge with purpose and imagination.

Participants engaged in a two-stage competition, beginning with an idea submission round and followed by an intense 24-hour on-site hackathon. Teams were evaluated on originality, feasibility, technical rigour, and alignment with the theme. The hackathon featured continuous mentorship from domain experts and a rigorous evaluation by a distinguished panel of judges.

The final round concluded with live project pitches and a Q&A session, allowing participants to defend and demonstrate the impact of their innovations. The winning teams were honoured with trophies, certificates, and exciting prizes. All finalists received participation certificates in recognition of their effort and creativity.

In addition to fostering innovation, the hackathon was a valuable experiential learning platform. It brought together students from multiple departments, promoting interdisciplinary collaboration and exposure to real-time technical development and problem-solving. The event concluded with a group photograph and a networking session, during which participants were invited to engage in forthcoming initiatives and events hosted by the university's Tech Council and its partners.
