6-Day Online Faculty Development Programme in Collaboration with EICT Academy, IIT Kanpur

The School of Computer Science and Engineering, in partnership with EICT Academy, IIT Kanpur, hosted a distinctive six-day Online Faculty Development Programme (FDP) with a unique focus on Cyber Security Using AI. The FDP took place from February 10 to February 15, 2025.

Key objectives of this FDP include:

  • Key challenges in information security, incident management, and penetration testing.
  • Footprinting techniques, tools, countermeasures, and automation using ShellGPT.
  • Network scanning methods, countermeasures, and precision techniques.
  • Local network enumeration, NetBIOS, and SNMP with AI integration.
  • System hacking methodologies, steganography, and track covering.
  • Social engineering tactics, identity theft prevention, and countermeasures.
  • Sniffing concepts, malware analysis using AI tools, and DoS/DDoS attack prevention.

Featuring expert lectures and hands-on sessions by industry experts and academicians, the participants were provided access to comprehensive learning materials, video lectures, and real-time practical exercises. These exercises were designed to engage the participants and reinforce their understanding of the concepts.

Dr. Raghul Gupta, a trainee from EICT Academy, IIT Kanpur, shared valuable insights into cybersecurity trends and AI-driven security measures. The event, which attracted 255 participants, including 135 faculty members from JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), offered significant benefits. Upon completion, all participants were awarded a prestigious certification, acknowledging their expertise in Cybersecurity using AI from EICT Academy, IIT Kanpur.
