Prof. Keerthana is an accomplished academic professional who completed a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Communication Engineering (2017) at Visvesvaraya Technological University, followed by an MTech in Artificial Intelligence (2023) from JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), where the degree was awarded with a Gold Medal. A PhD is currently being pursued, with research integrating Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) and Artificial Intelligence for the development of innovative healthcare applications.

Expertise has been developed in Artificial Intelligence, Signal Processing and Image Processing, and the position of Assistant Professor in the Department of ECE at JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) is presently held. Academic contributions include four research publications, four patents, and 15 certifications and internships. Eight national conferences, eight training programmes and several workshops have been successfully organised. In addition, contributions have been made as a resource person for Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs) and training sessions in Artificial Intelligence, research methodology, CV development and project management. Dr Sumit Kumar, PhD, is currently serving as an Assistant Professor at JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), Bengaluru. He completed his BTech in Agricultural Engineering and MTech in Process and Food Engineering at GB Pant University of Agriculture and Technology. He obtained his PhD in Food Process Engineering from National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management.

He was awarded a University Gold Medal for his undergraduate programme and received fellowships for both his MTech and PhD studies. During his doctoral research, he worked on the utilisation of waste generated from the food processing industry and various biomasses for the development of adsorbent materials and the extraction of valuable compounds. His areas of expertise include waste valorization, the design and development of food processing equipment, novel food product development, adsorption, beverage development, and the extraction of valuable compounds. He has published more than 14 national and international research papers and holds three published Indian patents.

Dr Sumit Kumar serves as Lead Editor for the books Development of Agro-Industrial Wastes as Adsorbent Materials: Applications and Future Scope and Biosensors for Food Quality Evaluation, published by CRC Press (Taylor & Francis Group). He is also a reviewer and editorial board member for several national and international journals and has coordinated one national and one international conference.

Dr V. Hariprasad is serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Aerospace Engineering at JAIN (Deemed-to-be University). A Bachelor of Engineering degree in Aeronautical Engineering was obtained from Kumaraguru College of Technology, affiliated with Anna University. A Master of Engineering degree in Spacecraft Engineering was subsequently completed at ESTACA, in association with University of Versailles, France. A PhD was awarded by Anna University.

Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) have been developed for various applications and have been successfully demonstrated.

Dr Deepak K. Sinha is Professor and Deputy Director at JAIN (Deemed-to-be University). He possesses extensive professional experience and demonstrated leadership in the field of Computer Science. With in-depth subject knowledge, he has developed effective teaching methodologies and delivered academic sessions and corporate training programmes.

With over 27 years of experience in teaching and research, Dr Sinha has made sustained contributions to the academic community. He played a significant role in a UNDP-supported project involving Ethiopian universities, contributing to the initiative for more than six years.

He holds undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral qualifications in Computer Science. In addition, he has completed a PGD in AI/ML from NIT Warangal and is currently pursuing an MS from IIT Patna.

Dr Gautham Krishna is a dedicated academic and researcher holding a PhD in Civil Engineering, with over seven years of experience in academia and three years of industry exposure. At JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), Dr Gautham Krishna is deeply involved in delivering high-quality teaching, guiding innovative research, and mentoring students to achieve their academic and professional goals. His work focuses on creating a seamless connection between classroom learning and industry practices, enabling students to gain practical insights and hands-on experience.

More than ten research papers have been published, including four indexed in Scopus. An MSME-sponsored research project valued at ₹15 lakhs has been successfully led, alongside the co-leadership of a university-funded project worth ₹2 lakhs. Areas of expertise include water purification, environmental engineering, industrial waste management and sustainable construction.

Mr Ashish Kumar Singh is serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) since 2019 and possesses over 16 years of combined academic and industry experience. His professional career was initiated as a Programmer Analyst Trainee at Cognizant Technology Solutions, followed by service as an Instrumentation Engineer at Golcha Industries. During the pursuit of his Master’s degree, he also served as a Lecturer at Rungta College of Engineering and Technology.

A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering was obtained from Bhilai Institute of Technology, and a Master’s degree in Power Electronics was completed at Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University. A full-time PhD in Electrical Engineering is currently being pursued, with specialisation in the Electric Vehicle (EV) domain, focusing on intelligent systems and smart mobility. Four IEEE conference papers have been authored, and responsibilities are also undertaken as a reviewer for various journals and conferences.

Technical expertise encompasses Electric Vehicles, Advanced Power Electronics, IoT, Robotics and Automation, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning. Active involvement is maintained in government-funded research proposal writing, the development of EV and advanced power electronics laboratories, and intelligent control algorithm design. Proficiency is demonstrated in C, C++ and C#. In addition, extensive mentoring has been provided to undergraduate and postgraduate students in research projects, internships and career development, fostering alignment with industry-ready technologies.

Dr Sharath P C obtained his doctorate in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK). He completed his post-graduation in Process Metallurgy from NITK, Surathkal, during which he carried out a major project at Deakin University. His undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering was earned from Malnad College of Engineering under Visvesvaraya Technological University.

With over 12 years of teaching and research experience, he has previously served in several reputed organisations and is currently associated with the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at JAIN (Deemed-to-be University). His research interests include metal forming, severe plastic deformation, composites and their characterisation, additive manufacturing, and electrochemical sensors and their applications.

Dr Sharath has published more than 35 international journal papers, 12 book chapters, and two books. He has chaired numerous conferences and research progress sessions and serves as a reviewer for several reputed international journals, receiving the Excellent Reviewer Award from ASM International - Journal of Materials Engineering and Performance. He is currently guiding two research scholars, one of whom is nearing the completion of their PhD.

Dr Kamlesh Tiwari is Professor and Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at JAIN (Deemed-to-be University). He earned his PhD from IIT Kanpur and has over 15 years of teaching and research experience. Five of his doctoral scholars have successfully completed their PhDs. He currently oversees approximately 150 faculty members and 6,000 students.

He has published more than 100 research articles in reputed international journals and conferences, including Neural Networks, Knowledge-Based Systems, Neurocomputing, IEEE Access, IEEE Consumer Electronics, WACV, IJCNN, IWBF, BMVC, ICIP, ICOIN, IJCB, AINA and TENCON. His research interests include computer vision and multimodal biometrics. His publications have received over 1,970 citations, with an h-index of 19 and an i10-index of 43. He has executed funded research projects amounting to INR 1 crore as Principal Investigator and INR 2.45 crore as Co-Principal Investigator.

He serves as the Branch Administrator for the newly approved FET IEEE Student Branch and regularly organises workshops and training programmes on machine learning and deep learning. He is also Co-founder of Cognix Technologies, which develops motion analysis solutions for tracking, detection and feature matching.

Dr Amalesh Barai is a Professor in the Department of Aerospace Engineering at JAIN (Deemed-to-be University). He completed his BTech in Aeronautical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology - Kharagpur, followed by an ME in Aerospace Engineering from Indian Institute of Science, where he also earned his PhD in Aerospace Engineering.

At JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), he is deeply engaged in teaching and research, with a focus on Structural Dynamics and Aeroelasticity. He has authored and presented numerous research papers in reputed national and international conferences and journals, contributing significantly to advancements in aerospace engineering and fostering a strong research culture within the department.

Dr Premkumar is a distinguished academician and Associate Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Faculty of Engineering Technology, JAIN (Deemed-to-be University). With over 15 years of experience, he has made significant contributions to research in the fields of Image Processing and Biomedical Engineering, driven by a strong passion for engineering and innovation.

Earlier, he collaborated with HP India Sales Private Limited, working as a Hardware Engineer, combining industry experience with his research interests. He has secured funding from prestigious organisations including All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), and Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) for impactful projects. Additionally, he serves as a reviewer for esteemed journals, upholding rigorous research standards and contributing to the advancement of his field.

Prof Srikrishna Bhaskar Rao is an Assistant Professor with eight years of academic and one year of industry experience. His expertise spans manufacturing systems engineering, laser cladding, and production planning. He has contributed to the field through multiple journal publications and authored textbooks that are closely aligned with university curricula, supporting both teaching and research initiatives.

Arsalan Ahmed Alyas is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, specialising in Cyber Security, at JAIN (Deemed-to-be University). He is currently pursuing a PhD in Cybersecurity at Lovely Professional University, focusing on advanced threat detection, IoT security, blockchain integration, and software-defined networking. He holds an M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering, specialising in Information Security and Cyber Forensics, and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering.

Arsalan brings a combination of academic and industry experience, having previously worked with SysTools as a Digital Forensics Evidence Examiner. His areas of expertise include malware analysis, network security, digital forensics, web application security, and secure system design.

He has contributed to research publications, faculty development programmes, and academic initiatives in cybersecurity and digital forensics. Actively involved in mentoring students, organising technical events such as hackathons and CTF competitions, and delivering expert sessions, Arsalan is committed to bridging strong theoretical foundations with practical, real-world cybersecurity challenges.
