Students were made interns of food industries for 2-3 months so that they get hands on experience. Some industries are Mother Dairy (Bangalore), NESTLE, ITC Bangalore, PEPSI, Maiyas, Elite Foods, and Quality Spices etc.
Project work for the duration of 5-6 months was assigned to the students in the reputed organizations like National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI), Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI), Defense Food Research Laboratory (DFRL).
Technical talks from the eminent scientists and professors from CFTRI, IIT and Framingham State University, USA were arranged.
Interactive sessions with experts from the food industries were arranged.
