JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) NSS wing conducted the Cotton Bag Distribution and Awareness Rally (1600 Bags) event in Chiluru Gram Panchayat &  Faculty of Engineering and Technology, JAIN Global Campus, Kanakapura, Karnataka. A total of 1280 students were involved in the event.

The cotton bag distribution and awareness rally was organized from 07th August to 30th August 2024. The vow to eliminate plastic and create a plastic-free campus was made as part of an awareness program. Under the direction of Dr. Hariprasad S.A, Director, JU-FET & Dr Geetha G, Director, School of Computer Science, JU-FET,, Dr. Raghu N supervised the cotton distribution and awareness rally in college & Chiluru Gram Panchayat, with a pledge-taking programme to say no to plastic to save the environment.

For all of the NSS volunteers, participating in this event was a wonderful opportunity to learn new things about “saving energy, water, and say no to plastic”. This initiative was a success because of the great enthusiasm and active participation from everyone in attendance.
