The Industry Interface Cell of Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Jain (Deemed- to- be University) conducted a webinar on “The Symbiotic and Synergistic Relationship between Industry and University” on October 1,2020
Faculty of Engineering & Technology, Jain (Deemed-to-be University) has always believed in the idea of holistic development to produce engaged, productive, and contributing students to build an equitable and inclusive society. The university strives to nurture intellectual growth, intrapersonal competencies, and interpersonal relationship skills among the students.
The keynote speaker for the webinar was Prof.R.Natrajan, Former AICTE Chairman and Former IIT Director. He enlightened the participants about the various insights of industry-university relationship. Students and professors are viable sources for transferring technology as they have the knowledge and skills necessary to implement innovations in other environments.
The interdependent relationships between universities and companies enable both entities to exchange and transfer ideas, knowledge, and skills to create innovations, sustain growth, and enhance productivity. Companies rely on universities for product innovations and hiring manpower, and faculty gain prestige through increased external research funds from industries. He also elaborated on the various challenges in collaboration between industry and the university. Almost 400 faculties participated in the webinar, and found the event extremely informative and insightful.
