JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), Faculty of Engineering and Technology, in collaboration with the Placement Cell, organized a webinar on Digitization in Human Resource & Innovation on August 28, 2021. Richa Agarwal, the current HR Director –APAC & EMEA Payroll at Honeywell, with over 22 years of experience in diverse domains ranging from Infrastructure Technology and Global Service Delivery to Human Resource Shared Services (HRSS), was the host for the session. Final-year B.Tech students from the Faculty of Engineering and Technology pursuing Mechanical and Aerospace programs participated in the online session.
What is Digitization of HR All About?
There has been a tectonic shift in the way Human Resources function with the onset of digital transformation. HR is no longer just a support department but holds the potential to herald a complete digital makeover of a company. It’s not just about upgrading the methods of HR operations but about transforming the workforce and getting things done efficiently.
Richa Agarwal discussed how HR plays a central role in shaping the culture and values of an organization and challenging status quo legacy systems, processes, and mindsets, and strives for deploying disruptive methodologies that lead to creating next-gen HR Experience. Diving deeper into this phenomenon, she deliberated on how core processes like hiring/recruiting and talent development are undergoing extensive remodeling due to the digitization of HR. She also added that over 88% of chief HR officers are gearing up to invest in three or more technologies over the next two years.
