The students of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) celebrated Engineer’s Day on 15-Sep-2022. The day is celebrated every year to mark the birth anniversary and pay tribute to the contributions for the country made by the legendry engineer, Bharat Ratna Sir. Mokshagundam Vishveshwaraya.
Sir. Mokshagundam Vishveshwaraya, served as the “Diwan of Mysore” and was a visionary who has played an important role in establishing many iconic structures like construction of KRS dam and Hydroelectric power station in Mysore, establishment of Mysore Soap Factory, Mysore Iron and Steel works, State Bank of Mysore, Institute of Engineering and Technology and many more.
On engineer’s day, Dr. Raju, Former ISRO scientist and visiting professor for JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) was felicitated by the faculty and students for his valuable contribution to Indian Space and Technology programmes at ISRO.
The students of Faculty of Engineering & Technology JAIN (Deemed-to-be) University participated in the “Project Exhibition”, where they displayed their innovative ideas through working engineering models. Students from different schools were invited to the exhibition for having an interaction with the engineering students. Many cultural activates like Musical Chair, dance performances and light music performances by the students added sparkle to the event.
