Mindfulness and Well-being with Ms Gupta - Deeksharambh 2024 Initiative

Mindfulness and Well-being with Ms Gupta - Deeksharambh 2024 Initiative

As part of the Deeksharambh 2024 Initiative, the Faculty of Engineering and Technology at JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) was privileged to host an insightful session for our 1st-year B.Tech CSE/AI students, featuring Ms. Subhadra Gupta, Founder and Director of Lifespring Counselling Center. The session focused on the vital topics of mindfulness, mental well-being, and the influence of the subconscious mind.

Ms. Gupta began by introducing the students to the concept of mindfulness, emphasizing its importance in managing stress and enhancing overall well-being. She provided practical techniques to help students cultivate mindfulness in their daily lives, fostering a deeper awareness of their thoughts and emotions. The discussion then moved to the subconscious mind, where she explained its role in shaping behavior and decision-making. Ms. Gupta guided the students on how to recognize and control subconscious patterns, empowering them to make conscious choices in their academic and personal lives.

To reinforce these concepts, Ms. Gupta led a creative activity where students were asked to draw something that represented their deepest subconscious thoughts. This exercise not only encouraged introspection but also allowed students to visually express aspects of their inner selves. The session concluded with a powerful video on mindfulness, offering students a visual and auditory understanding of the practice.

This event underscores our dedication to providing a well-rounded education, where academic learning is complemented by essential life skills. By equipping our students with the tools for mental resilience, we are preparing them to thrive in both their studies and future careers.
