World Health Environment Day - An Initiative for a Greener Tomorrow

World Health Environment Day - An Initiative for a Greener Tomorrow

The NSS Wing of the JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) - Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET), organised a successful Tree Plantation Programme on September 27, 2024, as part of the 'World Health Environment Day' celebration. The event started at 2:30 PM, took place at the FET Bus Parking Area, and witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, and staff.

The program aimed to promote environmental awareness and encourage sustainable practices by highlighting the importance of planting trees. Participants were encouraged to join hands in creating a greener future, with a
special focus on how trees contribute to cleaner air, improved health, and ecological balance.

The event began with an address from the NSS coordinator, who emphasised the significance of the day and the importance of individual contributions to environmental preservation. Participants were then invited to plant saplings, fostering a sense of responsibility towards nature. The faculty explained about the trees and the importance of tree plantation.

This initiative not only helped raise awareness but also contributed directly to creating a healthier and more sustainable environment on campus. The NSS Wing looks forward to continuing such activities, motivating
others to take action for a greener tomorrow. The event was well-received, with a strong turnout, and concluded with a renewed commitment to making the environment greener and healthier.
