Computer Science Engineering

M.Tech in Internet of Things (IOT)
Why take this course?

B.Tech Computer Science & Technology (Internet of Things) is a specialized program, aimed to provide the students with comprehensive knowledge in the key domain areas of Internet of Things. In technical terms, the Internet of Things (IoT) is to bring about tremendous improvements in user experience and system efficiency. It is a system that interrelates computing devices, digital and mechanical machines and more without any interaction between the computers and human. It will have a transformational impact on all industries and re-shape business models and industry configurations. An estimated 50 billion connected devices will be deployed by 2020 and the total IoT revenue is expected to grow to $1.2 trillion in 2022. As a result, IoT services are expected to be a key driver for growth in the telecommunication industry. The course offered at JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) provides the trending and latest industry knowledge to the students by collaborating with organisations such as Dell EMC, AWS Academy, Infosys, Qlik Academy, Oracle Academy and more.

What will I experience?

To a tech-savvy, pursuing M. Tech in Internet of Things (IoT) is not just the course that is learnt. But, an array of other supplementary courses are also taught to make them an industry ready candidate.

  • The course is integrated with learning in sensors and networks, hardware and embedded systems
  • In addition, the Skill Development Certification Programs include:
    • Amazon Web Services Solution Architect (AWS)
    • Ethical Hacker (CEH)
    • Google Mobile Web Specialist
  • Add on Programs are inclusive of C, C++, Cloud Computing, Mobile Computing.
What opportunities might it lead to?

As we enter Industry 4.0, in which computers and automation will come together in an entirely new way, with robotics connected remotely to computer systems equipped with machine learning algorithms that can learn and control the robotics with very little input from human operators. Industry 4.0 introduces what has been called the “smart factory”, in which cyber-physical systems monitor the physical processes of the factory and make decentralized decisions. The physical systems become Internet of Things, communicating and cooperating both with each other and with humans in real time via the wireless web. The course makes the students to explore job opportunities in major streams like:

  • Data Analytics
  • Network and Structure Framework
  • Cyber Protection
  • Managing Device and Hardware
  • User Interface Development across devices
