Future of Civil Engineering: From Design to Digital Execution (FCE: DDE 2026)

Bengaluru, May 8 2026: The Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering & Technology, JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) hosted a one-day national conference on “Future of Civil Engineering: From Design to Digital Execution (FCE: DDE 2026),” on May 8, 2026. Held at the IIAEM (Aerospace) Seminar Hall on Jakkasandra Campus in Bengaluru, it brought together UG and PG students, researchers, faculty, and industry experts from across India.

The focus of the conference was on how digital tools like BIM, AI, and Digital Twins are transforming civil engineering, from traditional design to efficient, smart execution. Key speakers shared valuable insights, including Shri. Ravindra Bhandary, Vice President of JGI Group; Shri. Rishi Prasad Suberi, Chairman of Tundi Constructions Nepal; Dr Pramod from EIT Bengaluru; Dr Roopa D, Professor & HOD at SKIT Bengaluru; and Dr Kavitha S, Head of School at Dr AIT Bengaluru.

Led by Dr Dasarathy A K, Professor & HOD of Civil Engineering, and coordinated by Prof. Manu S E and Dr Srikantha H, the event featured research presentations, open discussions, and strong industry-academia connections. The conference saw the exchange of ideas on the future of construction. 

Overall, FCE: DDE 2026 was a great success. It created an engaging platform for learning, networking, and sparked innovation in civil engineering's digital shift.
