Six-Day FDP on Quantum Technologies and Scalable Computing

Six-Day FDP on Quantum Technologies and Scalable Computing

09:00 AM - 05:00 PM

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering is hosting a comprehensive six-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) titled "Quantum Technologies: From Semiconductor Qubits to Scalable Computing and Intelligent Applications".

This specialised training programme bridges the gap between fundamental theory and scalable applications, equipping participants with the necessary tools to integrate quantum modules into contemporary research and academic curricula.

Event Overview

  • Dates: 20–25 July 2026
  • Duration: 6 Days
  • Organised by: Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Technology
  • Who can attend ?: Faculty members, PhD scholars, researchers, and academic professionals. Note: No prior quantum experience is required, as topics progress from foundational concepts to advanced practical design.
  • Location: JAIN Global Campus, Kanakapura Road, Bengaluru

Core Learning Tracks & Schedule Highlights

The FDP combines theoretical sessions led by national experts with hands-on labs using active programming platforms and simulators like Qiskit, Qniverse, and MATLAB:

  • Day 1: Introduction to Quantum Technology & Mathematical Foundations (Expert sessions by C-DAC Pune and C-DAC Bangalore).
  • Day 2: Quantum Algorithms, Gates, and Circuits (Expert sessions including the IBM Quantum Lab, Bangalore).
  • Day 3: Advanced Algorithms & Quantum System Modelling (Expert sessions from DTU New Delhi and WIPRO).
  • Day 4: Quantum Communication, Cryptography, and Superconducting Devices (Expert sessions from University of Jammu and IISc Bangalore).
  • Day 5: Industry Immersion Day (Industrial visit to QpiAI India Private Ltd, followed by R&D acceleration sessions).
  • Day 6: Quantum AI Optimization, Comprehensive Assessments, and Valedictory Session (Expert session from BITS Pilani / Cognix).
