Code Relay Challenge 2025

Code Relay Challenge 2025

The Code Relay Challenge, organised by the FOSS Club under the Department of Computer Engineering (Software Engineering), was successfully conducted on 12th March 2025 at JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), Global Campus, Kanakapura. The event engaged 200 participants from 55 teams, each comprising four members. Centred on the "AI-Driven Supply Chain Optimisation and Fraud Detection" theme, the competition followed a relay format where each team member coded sequentially for 30 minutes, encouraging strategic thinking and seamless collaboration. The event provided participants with hands-on experience in solving real-world challenges and honed their adaptability, coding proficiency, and teamwork under time constraints.

The judging criteria encompassed UI design, responsiveness, code readability, innovation, functionality, and correctness. Feedback highlighted the event's high engagement, the theme's relevance, and the relay format's effectiveness in fostering teamwork and critical thinking. Participants appreciated the challenging nature of the problems and suggested incorporating feedback sessions for future editions. The event concluded with the announcement of winners, with Team Tech-Innovators securing first place, followed by Stack Smashers and STARK. The success of this initiative reaffirmed the institution's commitment to cultivating a strong coding culture and encouraging students to explore innovative AI applications.
