E&C Engineering

B.Tech. in Robotics and Automation

Why take this course?

Robotics & Automation is a branch of Engineering that involves the conception, design, manufacture, and operation of robots. It is an interdisciplinary program that includes Electrical, Electronics, Computer science, Mechatronics, Instrumentation, control, Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning. The graduates from the programme are equipped with knowledge and skills to work in a broad variety of engineering careers in both the public and the private sectors. The faculty members of this department come from diverse back grounds but are united in one platform of Automation and work together to ignite the dreams of young minds to make the passion on Robotics as a successful career.

What will I experience?

The department offers Industry- oriented engineering curriculum. The primary focus of the curriculum is to impart technical know-how to students, promote their problem solving skills and innovation of new technologies. In the curriculum has introduced various skill development programs and Industrial training to equip the students with hands on training in the fields of Robotics, Human Machine interface, Machine vision, Machine learning, Artificial Intelligence, Natural Language Processing, MATLAB and Python programming. Department offers large number of optional courses for providing wide spectrum of opportunities to the students to pursue their interest. The course contents are periodically updated for introducing new scientific and technological developments. Our students are encouraged to take part and exhibit their talents in building innovative Robot models at national and international level competitions.

What opportunities might it lead to?

With increasing demand of machines and mechanisms almost every Industry uses some form of Robotics. Specialisations in Robotics and Automation opens wide range of job opportunities in research and industrial needs. Robotics and Automation graduated student can start the career as:

  • Control and drive design engineer
  • Automation testing
  • PLC and SCADA Engineer
  • Robotic Application developer
  • Quality and production
  • Modeling and design
  • CAD designer
  • Process Engineer
