Dr. R Sukumar received his B.E. in ECE from Madurai Kamaraj University in 1992, M.E. in CSE from Manonmanium Sundaranar University in 2004, and Ph.D. from Anna University in 2010. He has over 25 years of teaching experience from undergraduate to Ph. D level. He is also a recognized Ph. D supervisor of Anna University Chennai and Jain University Bangalore. Already, eight candidates have completed Ph.D under his supervision and another six scholars are pursuing Ph.D. He is also serving as member of Board of Studies and various committees. He has delivered invited talks in the Faculty Development Programs conducted by Anna University and has chaired several International and National Conferences. He has over 40 high impact factor international journal publications and 20 international conference publications. He has also owns two patents and has published a book on Computer Networks. He is currently serving as Professor and Head at Faculty of Engineering & Technology, Jain University, JGI Global Campus, Bangalore, India. His research areas of interest include Cryptography & Network Security, Sensor Networks, Cloud and IoT.
Dr. Hariprasad S.A., is a Ph.D. holder and has also obtained two additional highest Doctor of Science degrees in the year 2013 and 2014 for the post-doctoral research work on communication and embedded systems. He has published 109 papers in international and national journals/conferences and has authored a textbook on "Advanced Microprocessors".
With teaching experience spanning over 27 years along with 13 years of research experience, 7 PhD students been awarded and 8 are pursuing. He has held key posts of Director for Cognitive Science, RVCE; Vice-principal, BMSIT; Pro-Vice-Chancellor-Dayananda Sagar University; Academic mentor for DSCE and DSATM. He has established industry-supported labs and served as a visiting professor at various reputed colleges of Bengaluru.
He has executed funded projects for various government funding agencies and has been an inspiring mentor and influencer for various PG and UG projects and is currently guiding Ph.D. students. He has delivered expert talks in conferences and workshops in the area of embedded systems and microwave engineering domains. He is a recipient of many awards as the best teacher for publishing international conference paper and textbook.
Dr. Chandrasekar Shastry is currently Dean, PG studies @ SET in Jain University. Born in 1965, he earned his bachelor & master degrees in ’88 & ’90 respectively in E&C Engineering domain. He proceeded to get his doctoral degree in ‘Fiber Optic Communication’ from Indian Institute of Science. He served as Lecturer, Assistant professor, Professor and Head of the Department for both Day & Evening colleges @ BMSCE. He was also Chairman Board of Examinations as well as Studies in Bangalore University & VTU. In 2000, he moved from Academics to Corporate - Infosys Technologies. He worked as a Software engineer, Module leader, Project manager, Senior project manager, culminating as Head for Education & Research in Telecom Software. The client companies included Lucent, Cisco, Nortel, Alcatel, British Telecom & Telstra spanning round the globe. He has travelled widely to present technical papers in Conferences. He has published literature in various journals & forums of International repute. Yes! It has been a journey all along with a good hike too. Incidentally he likes to trek at high altitudes, go snorkeling & make friends with one & all.
Dr. Gopalakrishna K obtained B.E degree in Electronics Engineering from Bangalore University in 1992, M.Tech degree in VLSI Design and Embedded Systems from VTU, M. Phil degree in Computer Science from M.S.University, Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu in 2003 and PhD. In Electronics Engineering from Jain (Deemed-to-be University) in 2018. He has 29years of teaching experience. He is currently working as Associate Professor, Dept. of Electronics & Communication Engineering, Faculty of Engineering & Technology, Jain (Deemed-to-be University) and Deputy Controller of Examinations Jain (Deemed-to-be University) . His field of interests includes Advanced microprocessors, Microcontrollers, Embedded Systems, VLSI Technology and VLSI Designing and IoT. He has several publications in reputed journals. He is serving as BOS, BOE and Doctoral Committee Member of several Private and Deemed Universities and reputed autonomous institutions. He is the Advisory Committee Member for Six Ph.D. Scholars of VTU.
Mr. Hari Krishna Moorthy received his B.E Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering in the year 2001 from Bangalore University, Karnataka and M.E Degree in Applied Electronics in the year 2007 from Sathyabama University, Chennai. He has 15+ years of teaching experience. He is associated with JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) as an Associate Professor since August 2009. His research interests include Low Power VLSI design and Digital signal Processing. He is currently pursuing his doctoral degree in the field of Antenna requirements for Multimedia signal processing. To his credit he has published papers in peer reviewed journals and has published a patent.
Mr. Chaluvaraju P P received his B.E Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering in the year 1994 from Gulbarga University and M.E Degree in ECE in the year 2011 from Bangalore University, Karnataka. He has 22+ years of teaching experience and 5 years of industry experience. He is associated with JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) as an Associate Professor since Aug 2012. His research interests include Total electron content studies in ionosphere. He is currently pursuing his doctoral degree. To his credit he has published papers in peer reviewed journals and has published a patent also.
Ms. Asha K S received her B.E Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering in the year 1997 from Bangalore University and M.Tech Degree in Digital Electronics in the year 2007 from Visveswaraiah Technological University, Karnataka. She has 14+ years of teaching experience and 5 years of industry experience. She is associated with JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) as an Associate Professor since Aug 2012. Her research interests include vehicular adhoc networks and Digital Electronics. She is currently pursuing her doctoral degree in the field of VANET. To her credit she has published papers in peer reviewed journals and has published book chapter.
Dr. Vinay Kumar S B has received B.E Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Visveswaraiah Technological University, Karnataka in the year 2009, M.Tech Degree in Signal Processing and VLSI from Jain (Deemed-to-be University) in the year 2012 and PhD on Nature Inspired Computation Based Floor planning in VLSI under Electronics Engineering from Jain (Deemed-to-be University) in the year 2018 . He has over 10 years of teaching experience and has worked on sponsored projects funded by KSCST (Karnatake State Council for Science & Technology), IISc, Bangalore and few NGO projects. His project titled “SMART WATER METER” was adjudged the BEST PROJECT OF THE YEAR by KSCST for the year 2014. He has also received special appreciation for his projects by Agastya International Foundation (Anveshana) and also by Women Education India in 2017. He has published more than 15 papers in high impact factor journals of National/International repute. He has chaired several conferences and delivered invited talks. His current research interests include Evolutionary Computation, VLSI and Embedded Systems. He is currently associated with JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) as an Assistant Professor since February 2012.
Mr. Sunil M P received his B.E Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering in the year 2008 from Visveswaraiah Technological University, Karnataka and M.Tech Degree in Electronics design and Technology from National Institute of Technology, Calicut, Kerala in the year 2011. He has 11 years of teaching experience. He is associated with JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) as an Assistant Professor since August 2011. His research interests include Embedded System design, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, IoT, Artificial intelligence, Analog and Digital Integrated VLSI Circuit design, Data Converters and Image Processing. He is currently pursuing his doctoral degree in the field of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. To his credit he has published 43 papers in peer reviewed journals and has also published 4 Indian Patent.
Dr. Manjula T R received her B.E Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering in the year 2002, M.Tech Degree in digital electronics and communication systems in the year 2010 both from Visveswaraiah Technological University, Karnataka. The Doctoral degree from Jain University in Electronics in the year 2021. She has 15+ years of teaching experience and 1 years of industry experience. She is associated with JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) as an Assistant Professor since Feb 2012. Her research interests include remote sensing and navigation. To her credit, she has been principle investigator of sponsored project from ISRO, published 15+ papers in peer reviewed journals and conferences. Actively involved in research studies and submitted proposals to funding agencies.
Mrs Mamatha G N is currently associated with JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) as a Assistant Professor since May 2015. She has completed her B.E in electronics and Communication Engineering from VTU in the year 2012 and obtained M.Tech in RF communication from JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) in the year 2014. Perusing the PhD in the field of Biomedical signal processing under the guidance of Dr. Haripasad S A from the JAIN (Deemed-to-be University).
Her area of interests includes Biomedical signal processing, RF Communication and networking. Her area of research is on Biomedical EEG signal processing for the epilepsy patients. She has published 6+ papers in Peer Reviewed Journals and presented papers in National Conference.
Mr. Pramod R received Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University, Karnataka in the year 2017 and Master of Technology Degree in Embedded System Design from Jain (Deemed-to-be University), Karnataka in the year 2019. He is also pursuing PhD from Jain (Deemed-to-be University), Karnataka. He is working as the Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering since August 2019. His research area of interest includes VLSI Design and Embedded Systems. He has completed a project titled “Coconut Quality Detection” and has published several papers in various national and international conferences.
Mr. Chethana GS received his B.E Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering in the year 2017 from Visvesvaraya Technological University, Karnataka and M.Tech Degree in Embedded System Design in the year 2019 from JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), Karnataka. He is associated with JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) as an Assistant Professor since Aug 2019. His research interests include Embedded Systems, VLSI & Internet of Things. He is currently pursuing Ph.D. from Jain (Deemed-to-be University). He has completed a project titled Early Detection of Fungus in Food Products using Image processing and has published several papers in National & International Conferences.
Dr. Raju Garudachar holds degrees of BE (Electronics-Bangalore University), ME (Electronics – BITS, Pilani) and PhD (Electronics and Computer Engineering – University of Kansas, USA).
Dr. Raju worked in ISRO for 40 years (1972-2012) on topics related to satellite systems and payloads, microwave systems, satellite communication, radar and radiometry, at the Space Applications Centre (SAC), Ahmedabad and the ISRO Satellite Centre (ISAC), Bangalore. The last responsibility at ISRO was as Project Director for an Indo-French (ISRO-CNES) – Megha-Tropiques Climate Satellite. Previously he had worked on the Bhaskara -1 and - 2 remote sensing satellites, airborne synthetic-aperture radar (SAR) projects at ISRO. As a part of PhD degree in USA, he developed a Ice-Penetrating Radar and conducted measurements in Antarctica in 1986 and 87.
Dr. Raju has published and presented/published more than 100 technical and scientific papers in a number of journals and participated in national and international conferences. He has won a few national and international awards and recognitions.
Since 2013, Dr. Raju has been working as a visiting professor at the departments of ECE and Aerospace in JAIN (deemed-to-be) University. Currently he is engaged in research as a PhD guide and is also mentoring students at UG/PG and PhD levels for various projects under collaboration with ISRO. He has delivered more than 50 lectures in various universities and organisations as a guest lecture / keynote speaker, etc and has contributed as an expert panel/review member on a number of projects/occasions in government departments such as ISRO, DRDO, MOES, etc. Three of his students have been awarded PhD in ECE/Aerospace departments of JAIN and 8 more are at various levels of progress. His domain expertise is in microwave systems, satellite communication, space technology, space navigation and space and airborne microwave and radar remote sensing with applications in climate change, disaster monitoring, weather-forecasting and remote sensing applications.
