This partnership has yielded student-led projects that have a tangible impact on improving the standard of living. Our students are equipped with research laboratories, instructional materials, and practical models, charts, and monograms to test and build their innovative products.

  • Abstract: To help people, we have created a PORTABLE HEART DEFIBRILLATOR. Nowadays many deaths are caused by heart attacks.
  • How It Can Help: When a person gets a heart attack and he/she is alone this device helps a person by generating an electric shock which is in range of 750 volts which is approximately equal to the voltage produced by the heart defibrillator used in hospitals.
  • How It Works: The step-up transformer used in the circuit increases the voltage from 3.7 volts to 750 volts by reducing the current. The battery can be charged using a USB port. The capacitors used in the circuit store the charge temporarily.

Portable Water Purity Tester by Vaishnav Sabari Girish and Aryan R

Abstract:

Over 800,000 people die each year from diseases caused by polluted drinking water. Many are unable to determine whether the water they consume is safe, making contaminated water one of the leading causes of death annually. This comes under the SDG number 6 which is clean water and sanitation.

Our solution is a portable water purity tester that checks the safety of your drinking water. It tests both the pH level and turbidity of water samples, providing quick and reliable results. With this handy device, everyone can ensure their water is safe to drink, empowering communities to take charge of their health!



Crisis Assist

Emergency Response Every Turn by Madhumitha U R, SreeVishnu A, and Aryan R

Abstract:

Crisis Assist transforms vehicle safety and emergency response with cutting-edge hardware like GSM and GPS modules, impact sensors, IR sensors, a force sensor, and an accelerometer. The system rapidly detects emergencies such as collisions and fires, sending real-time SMS alerts via the SIM800L module to ensure timely action. The integration of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) with IR sensors enhances features like lane assist and collision warnings, monitoring the vehicle's lane position for accurate departure alerts and detecting nearby obstacles to avoid collisions. This synergy improves collision detection, positioning, and decision-making, ensuring smarter responses during critical moments.

The inclusion of a force sensor allows the system to count vehicle occupants, enabling more precise emergency responses, such as automatically calling for medical help based on the number of passengers. The accelerometer adds another layer of safety by detecting sudden speed changes and responding accordingly. Additionally, vehicle-to-vehicle communication alerts nearby drivers in case of an accident, fostering a safer, more responsive driving environment. With its user-friendly mobile app and customizable design, Crisis Assist enhances road safety by reducing accidents and associated risks. The system ensures convenience by allowing users to deactivate false alarms easily, maintaining its readiness for genuine emergencies. By integrating seamlessly with existing safety features, Crisis Assist not only protects drivers and passengers but also contributes to a smarter, safer transportation ecosystem.

Abstract:

The Smart Yoga Mat is an innovative solution addressing the pressing need for preventive healthcare in response to lifestyle-related diseases. Globally, 1.9 billion adults are overweight or obese, leading to chronic illnesses, while in India, around 44% of the population suffers from such conditions. Yoga is widely recognized for its ability to enhance both physical and mental health, making it an ideal intervention for promoting a healthy lifestyle. This project introduces a proctored and personalized yoga training system that combines advanced technologies to revolutionize yoga practice.

Key Features

Guided Yoga Practice: Instructs users on proper yoga techniques through real-time feedback. Comprehensive Health Monitoring: Integrates sensors and wearable watch technology to monitor oxygen levels and vital signs. Pose Accuracy Assessment: Employs a camera system for real-time posture analysis to ensure correct pose execution. Session Statistics: Provides detailed performance feedback and progress tracking through a companion mobile app.

Scientific Validation

EEG Analysis: Compares brainwave data from users practising yoga with and without the mat, focusing on improvements in alpha, beta, theta, and delta waves.

Enhanced Outcomes: Demonstrates better relaxation, focus, and mental well-being among users of the Smart Yoga Mat. By promoting accuracy and accessibility in yoga practice, the Smart Yoga Mat aims to deliver a transformative impact on physical and mental health, addressing the challenges posed by modern lifestyles.
