The Android App Development Workshop at JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) was a well-structured and engaging two-day event designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of mobile application development. The sessions, led by Prof. Narasimhayya B. E., blended theoretical concepts with hands-on coding, covering essential topics such as UI design, debugging techniques, and coding principles. Students were actively involved in a mini-project, where they developed a simple calculator app, allowing them to apply their learning in a practical setting and gain valuable hands-on experience. The workshop also featured an inaugural ceremony graced by esteemed dignitaries like Dr. G. Geetha, Dr. Krishnan Batri, and Dr. Rajesh A., motivating the participants. Among the 55 attendees, two students were recognized for their outstanding performance and awarded a token of appreciation.

The event received highly positive feedback, with students appreciating the interactive environment, structured learning sessions, and hands-on experience. The mentor and volunteers were praised for their dedication and support, particularly in doubt clarification and practical guidance. However, participants suggested extending the workshop to 3-4 days for in-depth learning and full-fledged app development. They also requested more debugging support, a more energetic delivery style, and better session structuring to avoid fatigue. Overall, the workshop was a valuable learning experience, equipping students with a strong foundation in Android development, problem-solving, and teamwork.
