Bengaluru, 11th February 2026: The Anova Club, under the Department of CSE - Data Science at JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), recently conducted a one-day technical event titled ‘LOLgorithm’. The initiative was designed to integrate computational thinking with creative expression, challenging participants to apply logical reasoning to complex problems within an engaging and dynamic framework.

The event was inaugurated in the presence of senior academic leaders, including Dr Deepak Sinha, Deputy Director, Industry Interface & Student Relations; Dr Kamalesh Tiwari, Head of Department, CSE; and Dr Manujakshi B C, Program Head, Data Science. Under the guidance of Faculty Coordinator Mr Rajesh Pandian N, the symposium aimed to foster innovation, strengthen analytical skills and promote practical data interpretation.

‘LOLgorithm’ featured a structured multi-round format testing various dimensions of technical acumen. The ‘Ideathon’ required teams to develop architectural designs and workflows for predefined problem statements, emphasising conceptual depth. This was followed by a fast-paced Kahoot quiz testing technical accuracy under pressure, and an AI Dashboard Challenge, where participants were evaluated on their ability to derive and visualise insights from complex datasets. A unique Meme Creation Contest rounded off the event, encouraging students to articulate technical experiences through creative humour.

The symposium concluded with a valedictory address by Mr Rajesh Pandian N, acknowledging the high level of participation and the quality of the technical solutions presented. ‘LOLgorithm’ reflects the university’s broader commitment to experiential learning, demonstrating that rigorous technical education can be effectively combined with creative and collaborative student-led initiatives.
