Bengaluru, 7th February 2026: The Faculty of Engineering and Technology, JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) has introduced a dynamic, poster-based format for its Ph.D. Bi-Annual Review, marking a progressive shift in the way doctoral research is evaluated and showcased. Organised by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Faculty of Engineering & Technology, the Research Poster Day held on 7th February 2026 transformed the traditionally closed review process into an open academic forum designed to encourage transparency, collaboration and interdisciplinary dialogue.
Conceptualised by Dr Kamlesh Tiwari, Head of Computer Science and Engineering, the initiative aims to strengthen research visibility and create meaningful engagement between scholars, faculty, alumni and institutional leaders. Instead of presenting before a limited panel, 72 Ph.D. scholars showcased their work through structured A3 research posters, outlining their objectives, methodology, findings and future directions in an interactive setting.
The programme was inaugurated by the Honourable Vice President, Shri Ravindra Bhandari, who highlighted the importance of innovation, accountability and industry-relevant research in doctoral education. Dr Manav Saxena, Head, CREI, and Dr Deepak Sinha, Deputy Director, were also present, reinforcing the institutional commitment to advancing research standards. In his address, Dr Tiwari noted that the revised format reflects the University’s intent to build a more inclusive and academically rigorous research ecosystem.
The event drew participation from 134 faculty members and 34 alumni, along with academic and administrative staff, creating a vibrant environment for scholarly exchange. The interactive format enabled cross-domain discussions, constructive feedback and deeper research awareness across specialisations. Scholars benefited from broader academic exposure, while attendees gained insight into emerging technologies, interdisciplinary themes and contemporary research directions.
Convened by Dr A. Suresh Kumar, Research Coordinator and Convener, the programme demonstrated JAIN (Deemed-to-be University)’s continued commitment to fostering a research culture that values openness, collaboration and real-world relevance. For prospective students, parents and industry partners, the initiative signals a forward-looking doctoral ecosystem that prioritises academic excellence, innovation and impactful research engagement.
