Strengthening Academic Perspectives: Faculty Interaction with NITK Surathkal

Surathkal, 16 January 2026: The Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET), JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), organised a faculty interaction session with Dr. Raviraj H. M., Associate Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, NITK Surathkal, Karnataka, on 16 January 2026.

The session was inaugurated by the Head of the Department, Dr. A. K. Dasarathy, who highlighted the significance of academic collaboration, quality teaching practices, and research-driven growth. This was followed by active engagement and discussions from the department’s faculty members.

Dr. Raviraj H. M. shared valuable insights on effective teaching–learning methodologies, outcome-based education (OBE), curriculum alignment, and research best practices implemented at NITK. He also emphasised the importance of faculty mentoring, student engagement, and a strong research orientation in achieving academic excellence and accreditation objectives.

The interaction, though concise, provided faculty members with practical perspectives on academic planning, enhancing research productivity, and fostering continuous improvement. The session concluded with appreciation for the enriching exchange of ideas and recognition of the potential for future academic collaboration.
