Bengaluru, 24th February 2026: The Department of Civil Engineering at JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) formalised a strategic partnership with E I Technologies Private Limited on 24th February 2026 at the JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) Head Office in Banashankari Stage II, Bengaluru. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) establishes a collaborative framework aimed at bridging academic learning with practical industry expertise for civil engineering students.
The MoU focuses on developing a “Finishing School” model that aligns the university’s curriculum with evolving technical demands in the civil engineering and infrastructure sectors. Key objectives include providing students with hands-on access to industry-standard software and consultancy projects, facilitating professional mentorship through guest lectures and workshops, creating a structured placement and internship pipeline, and organising field visits to active infrastructure sites.
The signing ceremony underscored the importance of a collaborative ecosystem, highlighting contributions from the student chapter Atharva: The Society of Civil Engineers, and professional affiliates including the Indian Concrete Institute (ICI), IEEE, Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), and the Water Institute. Glass Academy was also acknowledged for its support in fostering industry-relevant training and knowledge exchange.
Discussions during the event detailed the roadmap for the 2026–2027 academic year, emphasising applications in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), structural auditing, and sustainable infrastructure development. Both university faculty and EIT representatives highlighted the mutual benefits of joint consultancy initiatives and collaborative projects.
Expected outcomes from this partnership include enhanced student skill sets with certifications and applied experience, accelerated industry readiness reducing onboarding time for graduates, and opportunities for faculty-industry research collaborations. The agreement positions students to gain practical competencies beyond standard academic learning while fostering innovation within the civil engineering domain.
The MoU signing reflects JAIN (Deemed-to-be University)’s commitment to integrating academic excellence with professional practice, ensuring graduates are prepared for the technical and practical demands of the modern infrastructure and civil engineering industry.
