Bengaluru, 29th May 2026: The Department of Aerospace Engineering at JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) hosted the National Conference on Emerging Trends in Engineering & Technology (NCETET 2026) on 29 May 2026, bringing together 179 participants from academic institutions, research organisations and industry in a hybrid format.
Held at the Faculty of Engineering and Technology (JU-FET), the conference provided a platform for researchers, faculty members, students and professionals to present and discuss their work in emerging areas of engineering. A total of 62 research papers were presented across technical sessions covering Aerospace Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Digital Twin technologies, and Advanced Materials.
The day focused on research exchange and technical discussions rather than keynote-driven proceedings. Presenters shared studies on aircraft structures, aerodynamics, propulsion systems, smart manufacturing, predictive maintenance, data-driven engineering approaches and sustainable material solutions. Each session provided opportunities for participants to receive feedback, discuss methodologies and explore future directions for their work.
The conference was chaired by Dr. Prakash Damodar Mangalgiri, Professor of Eminence, and Dr. Sudhir Sastry Y B, Professor and Head of the Department of Aerospace Engineering. Distinguished invitees Dr. Kishore Brahma and Ashok Aseri interacted with participants and contributed to discussions on current developments and challenges in engineering and technology.
One of the key outcomes of NCETET 2026 was the interaction between students, researchers and industry professionals. The hybrid format enabled wider participation, allowing delegates from different parts of the country to engage in technical sessions and networking activities.
Supported by the Aeronautical Society of India and the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, the conference highlighted the growing interest in interdisciplinary research and the application of emerging technologies to real-world engineering challenges. By providing a platform for presenting research findings and exchanging ideas, NCETET 2026 strengthened academic collaboration and encouraged continued research engagement among participants.
