An online webinar on "Role of Electrical Engineers in Design and Development of Electric Vehicles" was organized by the School of Engineering and Technology, Jain (Deemed-to-be University) for all the students, research scholars, and faculties. It was held on 22 June 2020 where students, research scholars, and faculties of various institutions across India participated in the webinar.

The speaker of the session was Dr. K. Deepa, Assistant Professor at the Department of Electrical & Electronics, Amrita School of Engineering. The main objective of the webinar was to Provide an overview of Electric Vehicle Technology. She explained the different types of Batteries used in Electric vehicles. It helped the participants to acquire knowledge about EV charging Infrastructures, Battery Management systems, and the necessity of cell balancing and hybrid energy management.
