Bengaluru, 14th March 2026: The Faculty of Engineering and Technology at JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) conducted the FET Alumni Conclave 2026 on 14th March 2026 at the JAIN Global Campus. The event brought together 16 alumni from diverse professional backgrounds, alongside academic leaders, faculty members, and students from first to third year, to facilitate dialogue on career development and industry expectations.
The conclave was designed to strengthen alumni engagement while offering students exposure to real-world professional journeys. The programme commenced with an introductory address and ceremonial lamp lighting, followed by three panel discussions structured around key themes: “One Foundation, Diverse Paths: Engineering Without Boundaries,” “Campus to Career: Learning from Alumni Journeys,” and “Beyond the Classroom: Skills Every Engineer Needs in the Real World.” The sessions were moderated by Dr Garima Sinha, Dr Rituja Upadhay, and Dr Vasudha Hegde, ensuring focused and interactive discussions.
Alumni shared insights on career progression, skill development, and industry practices, enabling students to better understand expectations beyond academic settings. Interactive exchanges allowed students to seek guidance on internships, job preparation, and emerging career opportunities. The discussions highlighted the importance of adaptability, technical competence, and continuous learning in evolving professional environments.
The event also included opportunities for informal networking during the lunch session, followed by departmental visits where alumni engaged with faculty members and reviewed recent academic and infrastructural developments. These interactions further strengthened institutional connections and encouraged ongoing collaboration between alumni and the University.
The conclave underscored the role of alumni as key stakeholders in academic ecosystems, contributing to mentorship and knowledge-sharing. By facilitating structured engagement between students and industry professionals, the initiative supported the University’s focus on aligning academic learning with professional readiness and long-term career development.
