Department of Electronics and Communication, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Jain (Deemed-to-be University) conducted a Webinar on “An Insight into The IoT Platform” on November 7, 2020.

Prof. Manju J.R., Application Engineer, Seimens Center of Excellence, from NIT Trichy, was the resource person. He enlightened The participants on various aspects of IoT.

 The Internet of Things is a recent technology that creates a global network of machines and devices that are capable of communicating and exchanging data with each other through the Internet. Smart appliances, Smart security systems, smart locks, and doorbells, Smart home hubs (control lighting, home heating, and cooling, etc.) Smart assistants (like Amazon Alexa or Apple’s Siri), Fitness trackers, sleep trackers, and smart scales are all possible now because of IoT.

 Today many companies are investing their funds and efforts on the Internet of Things to bring in precision and optimization in their work-flow mechanisms. The top companies in Silicon Valley are investing in state-of-the-art visions and seeking to hire more professionals who are skilled IoT professionals. 

This event was a wonderful learning experience for the participants as they learned about the new delving technology that will bring the breakthrough enabling the students to develop the essential skills.
