On 14 February 2020 a program on Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat was conducted by NSS wing of School of Engineering and Technology, Jain (Deemed-to-be University). This program was conducted in association with the Indian kalaripayattu federation. 25 volunteers involved in Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat in the campaign to take care of the Promotion and gathering of students and staff members.
“Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat” is celebrated on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. This innovative measure, the knowledge of the culture, traditions, and practices of different States & UTs will lead to an enhanced understanding and bonding between the States, thereby strengthening the unity and integrity of India.
The program was initiated with an informative and valuable speech by Dr. Chandrashekar, Director, Centre for Distance Education & Virtual Learning. Prof. Raghu. N, NSS officer, Jain (Deemed-to-be University), students and staff members were present during the event. As a part of the celebration, the NSS wing organized the singing and dance program intending to inform the people on the inevitability for the greater use of mother tongues and other Indian languages for the growth and progress of the nation. A team of 08-members of Kalari practitioners from the Indian kalaripayattu federation, Bangalore took the stage and exhibited traditional Kalaripayattu techniques along with an extravagant display of ancient Indian weaponry.
