Bengaluru, 18th May 2026: First-year B.Tech students from the Faculty of Engineering and Technology visited the campus of the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore for an immersive academic engagement. The visit brought together young engineering learners and one of India’s most reputed management institutions, offering them direct exposure to a dynamic academic and innovation-driven environment.
Organised by JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), the academic visit was intended to extend learning beyond the classroom and introduce students to contemporary practices in management education, research, and entrepreneurship. As the group arrived at the IIMB campus, they were introduced to its advanced learning infrastructure, including smart classrooms, extensive library resources, and dedicated centres that support research and innovation across disciplines.
A key highlight of the day was a series of interactive sessions led by faculty members from IIM Bangalore, focusing on Digital Business and Entrepreneurship. These discussions offered students a clearer understanding of how technology is reshaping global business models and why innovation and leadership are becoming essential competencies in the modern professional landscape.
Students actively participated in the sessions, engaging with concepts such as case-based learning, startup incubation, and interdisciplinary problem-solving. The experience helped them connect theoretical engineering concepts with real-world applications in business and technology-driven industries.
The visit was coordinated by Dr. Sreeraku Vandana, Dr. Anandu, and Miss Priya Chanda, who accompanied and guided the students throughout the programme.
By the end of the visit, students had gained a broader perspective on innovation ecosystems and the role of entrepreneurship in shaping future careers. The exposure encouraged them to think beyond traditional disciplinary boundaries and strengthened their motivation to pursue higher learning and professional development in technology and management domains.
