Bengaluru, 22nd May 2026: The Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET) at JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) brought together nearly two decades of alumni memories, achievements, and aspirations during Campus Chronicle 2026 - FET Mega Alumni Meet, held at the Colosseum on 22 May 2026.
Organised by the Office of Alumni Affairs and Outreach, the event welcomed 329 alumni from graduating batches spanning 2009 to 2024, alongside their family members, taking the total participation to 592 attendees. More than a reunion, the gathering reflected the growing role of alumni in shaping the institution’s academic and professional ecosystem.
The afternoon began with registrations and welcome kits, followed by an inaugural session led by Dr Garima Sinha, FET Alumni Lead. Addressing the audience, she highlighted the university’s recent achievements and acknowledged alumni who have contributed to student development through internships and industry exposure opportunities. She also reflected on earlier alumni engagement initiatives, including Alumni Connect and Alumni Conclave, emphasising the institution’s efforts to build a stronger and more connected alumni network.
Speaking at the event, Shri Ravindra Bhandary, Vice President of JAIN Group, encouraged alumni to remain actively involved with their alma mater through mentorship, collaboration, and professional networking. His address underscored the importance of alumni engagement in strengthening institutional growth and industry relevance.
A key highlight of the evening was the launch of the FET Alumni Association. Nominated candidates for the positions of President, General Secretary, and Treasurer shared their vision for future alumni engagement, signalling the beginning of a more structured alumni leadership framework.
The event blended professional interaction with celebration. Alumni exchanged career experiences, revisited memories from their student years, and explored possibilities for future collaborations in areas such as mentoring, entrepreneurship, and industry-academia partnerships. Cultural performances, interactive sessions, and a live band performance added to the vibrant atmosphere, while the hi-tea and dinner sessions created informal spaces for networking across generations.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr Deepak Kumar Sinha, Deputy Director (II&T), who acknowledged the contributions of alumni, faculty members, organisers, and volunteers in making the event a memorable success.
Beyond nostalgia, Campus Chronicle 2026 reflected the evolving relationship between alumni and the university, one increasingly focused on mentorship, collaboration, and preparing future graduates for a rapidly changing professional landscape.
