FET Hosts Alumni Connect 2026 to Strengthen Global Engagement and Industry Collaboration

Ramanagara, 7 February 2026: The Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET), JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), successfully organised Alumni Connect 2026 at the FET Campus, bringing together 39 alumni from batches 2008 to 2025 alongside university leadership, faculty members and students. The initiative forms part of the Alumni Connect - 2026, aimed at strengthening alumni–student engagement and fostering long-term institutional collaboration.

The event commenced with a formal inaugural ceremony, including lamp lighting and Saraswati Vandana, followed by a welcome address by Dr Garima Sinha, Alumni Head - FET. In her address, Dr Sinha emphasised the strategic importance of sustained alumni engagement in enhancing academic quality, mentorship opportunities and industry partnerships.
Shri Ravindra Bandary, Vice President, JAIN Group, addressed the gathering and presented an overview of the University’s academic growth, NAAC accreditation status, NIRF rankings and multi-campus presence. He highlighted recent developments in interdisciplinary education, placement outcomes and global exposure initiatives, with particular reference to Japanese language programmes and emerging employment opportunities in Japan.

The alumni interaction session featured graduates from disciplines including ECE, CSE, EEE, Civil, Mechanical, IoT, Cyber Security, Data Science and Food Technology. Participants, currently working across software engineering, data science, cybersecurity, embedded systems, finance, infrastructure and entrepreneurship, shared professional insights and career guidance with students. The presence of an alumnus based in San Jose, California, reflected the institution’s expanding global alumni footprint.

Key outcomes included proposals to extend internship durations up to one year, strengthened alumni-led mentorship and referral support, and discussions on entrepreneurship guidance and expanded admissions outreach. Distinguished alumni were felicitated during a formal ceremony, followed by departmental visits and cultural interactions. Delivering the vote of thanks, Dr Deepak K Sinha, Deputy Director, acknowledged the contributions of alumni and faculty in reinforcing the University’s collaborative ecosystem.

Alumni Connect 2026 plays a strategic role in advancing the University’s academic and institutional objectives. By strengthening structured engagement with its alumni network, the University reinforces industry linkages, enhances mentorship pipelines and supports improved placement outcomes for current students. The initiative facilitates knowledge exchange between experienced professionals and emerging graduates, ensuring curriculum relevance, expanded internship opportunities and career readiness aligned with evolving industry demands.
