Department of Mechanical Engineering, at Faculty of Engineering & Technology, Jain (Deemed-to-be University) organized a guest lecture on “Thermodynamics of Combustion system” on September 30, 2020.
The central idea behind organizing this guest lecture was to enlighten the students about various concepts of thermodynamics and the combustion system. The topic captivated the interest of all the faculties and students as it enhanced their knowledge in the area of applied thermodynamics. They also learned about how combustion systems generate steam and heat for vital manufacturing processes that change the mechanical and chemical properties of materials and products.
Prof. C S Bhaskar Dixit, who is currently the Director of Fire and Combustion Research Centre at Jain (Deemed-to-be University), was the resource person for this event. He is a mechanical engineering graduate with a doctorate in aerospace engineering in the area of combustion in biomass stoves from the Indian Institute of Science. The guest lecture was highly fruitful and culminated with valuable insights, as it provided an opportunity for all the participants to discuss, learn, and generate impactful ideas.
