Jain (Deemed-to-be University), School of Engineering and Technology inaugurated its 3D Printing Club “3D Tech Hub” on the occasion of Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam’s birthday on 15 October 2019. The club was inaugurated by Shri. Srikanth TV, General Manager, Intech-DMLS, Bangalore and Shri. Sudarshan Reddy, Senior Engineer, Intech-DMLS, Bangalore. The chief guest gave a brief talk about the empowering technology of 3D printing and its applications in various fields. Important part of the event was the 3D pen with which the students print the 3D models by freehand.

The core team of this 3D Tech Hub consists of 7 student as core members along with 3 faculty advisors. The mission of the 3D Printing Club is to educate, expose and explore the concepts, methods and execution of 3D Printing and make it available to the Jain University community. It is that it is fully self-sustaining by the student-owned, operated, and organized club. The dedicated space and full-service support enable students to create, build, and brainstorm unique, creative ideas.
