Industrial Visit Equips M.Tech Students with Practical Insights into the IT Industry

Calicut, Kerala - 4 April 2025 - JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), Global Campus, successfully organised a two-day industrial visit for postgraduate students of M.Tech Computer Science (all specialisations) to Cybrosys Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Kozhikode, Kerala, from 3 to 4 April 2025. The initiative aimed to enhance academic learning through exposure to real-time industrial practices in the IT sector.

The visit was attended by 18 students and was coordinated by Dr Garima Sinha (PG Head) and faculty member Mr Abhishek M. The primary objective was to bridge the academic-industry divide by offering students first-hand experience of how IT solutions are developed and deployed in a professional environment. The students were hosted at the Cybrosys campus in Kinfra Technopark, Kakkanchery.

Mr. Hajaj Roshan, Team Lead and Python/Odoo Developer at Cybrosys, delivered a comprehensive session on the company's service architecture, particularly its implementation and development practices, using Odoo ERP. The interactive discussion covered company workflows, project lifecycle management, and the latest tools used in enterprise-level software development. Students also gained insights into mobile and web development frameworks currently in demand within the industry.

Key outcomes of the visit included enhanced technical knowledge, a clearer understanding of potential career paths, and improved awareness of industry expectations. The exposure also helped students appreciate the professional environment, fostering critical employability skills such as communication, workplace etiquette, and networking.

Reflecting on the success of the visit, Dr Garima Sinha remarked,
