Bengaluru, 26 November, 2025: The Department of Food Technology organised an enriching industrial visit to BAMUL (Bangalore Cooperative Milk Union Ltd.) on 26 November, 2025. The initiative aimed to engage students in an in-depth understanding of diary processing units and SCADA-based automation systems.
The industrial visit to BAMUL provided students with an understanding of milk collection systems, CIP sanitation methods, Pasteurisation, UHT milk processing, sustainability measures and more. Throughout the session, students from the Faculty of Engineering and Technology experienced valuable real-time exposure to large scale industrial diary operations and quality management systems.
The visit successfully enabled MTech students to gain practical insights into quality assurance, observe industrial scale equipment and connect theoretical knowledge with real-world manufacturing and operational systems. The session concluded with an awareness of technical competence in the diary market and a deep understanding of resource-efficient approaches implemented in the modern dairy industries.
