Gamified Learning Meets Strategy: INK-FINITY WAR Blends Storytelling, Technology and Competition

Bengaluru, 27th March 2026: The Aerospace Seminar Hall at Faculty of Engineering and Technology, JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) transformed into an immersive arena of strategy and creativity as students participated in INK-FINITY WAR, a Marvel-themed multi-round competition organised by the Department of Student Affairs, Faculty of Engineering and Technology. Designed to challenge participants beyond conventional formats, the event brought together storytelling, gamification, and analytical thinking in a technology-driven environment.

With 71 registrations and 39 active participants, the competition was structured to ensure both fairness and engagement. A custom-built web platform played a central role, enabling dynamic team allocation, conducting trivia rounds, and tracking performance in real time. Measures such as device restrictions, tab-switch monitoring, and a centralised audit system ensured transparency throughout the event.

The competition unfolded across three distinct rounds, each testing a different dimension of student capability. The opening round, Timeline Distortion, focused on storytelling, encouraging teams to creatively reimagine narratives. This was followed by the S.H.I.E.L.D Intelligence Test, an interactive trivia round that assessed domain knowledge and quick thinking through a web-based interface. The final round, Origin Protocol, drew inspiration from business pitching formats, requiring participants to present and defend character concepts with clarity and innovation.

Throughout the event, participants demonstrated high levels of creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking. The seamless integration of technology with content design allowed for an engaging and well-paced experience, reflecting evolving approaches to student learning and assessment.

The Mind Stone team emerged as the winners, distinguished by their consistent performance across all rounds and their ability to combine creativity with strategic insight.

INK-FINITY WAR underscored the growing importance of experiential learning formats that move beyond traditional classrooms. By blending entertainment with skill development, the event provided students with a platform to apply knowledge, think creatively, and engage with peers in a competitive yet collaborative setting preparing them for dynamic professional environments ahead.
