International Women’s Day 2025: Empowerment and Awareness Workshop

International Women’s Day 2025: Empowerment and Awareness Workshop

The International Women’s Day 2025 workshop, a collaborative effort of the English Club and Women’s Cell at JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), aimed to empower students with knowledge on women’s mental health, societal roles, and self-identity. The event featured esteemed speakers, including Dr. Smitha Sarma and Ms. Senthil Selvi, who provided insightful discussions on psychological well-being, gender dynamics, and resilience. The sessions addressed the importance of seeking support for mental health challenges, strategies for managing mood fluctuations, and the evolution of women’s roles in modern society.

Beyond the intellectual discourse, the workshop incorporated cultural performances, showcasing the artistic talents of students through music, dance, and spoken word. A question-and-answer session facilitated engagement between students and speakers, providing a platform for interactive learning and reflection. The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Dr. Ahmadi Begum, marking a successful initiative in fostering awareness, inclusivity, and empowerment. The workshop celebrated women’s achievements and inspired students to embrace individuality, challenge stereotypes, and contribute towards a progressive society, leaving us all with a sense of engagement and thoughtful reflection.
