Bengaluru, 15 August 2025: The Faculty of Engineering and Technology at JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), Global Campus, Kanakapura, commemorated India’s 79th Independence Day with a solemn and spirited celebration on 15 August 2025. Organised by the NSS Wing, the event brought together students, faculty, and staff to honour the nation’s legacy of freedom and reaffirm their commitment to democratic values.

The programme commenced at 7:45 a.m. at the SET Amphitheatre with a Pooja in tribute to Mahatma Gandhi, followed by the flag hoisting ceremony led by Dr. Venkadeswaran K, Deputy Dean, Academics. The ceremony was attended by esteemed dignitaries, including Dr. Benaka Prasad S B (Deputy Dean – Affairs), Dr. Vinuthraj T N, Dr. Archana S, Dr. Vishal Patil, Dr. Raghu N, and Mr. Sandeep. Forty students and fifteen staff members actively participated in the celebration, contributing to the organisation and execution of the event.

The younger generation must continue to uphold the values that brought us freedom—unity, non-violence, and service to society.”

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, followed by the distribution of sweets, reinforcing the spirit of camaraderie. The tricolour-themed decorations and the collective participation of faculty, students, and staff added to the patriotic fervour.
