Learning the Effectiveness of Set Back to Come Back

The NSS Wing, Faculty of Engineering & Technology, Jain (Deemed-to-be University) organized a webinar on the topic “Set Back to Come Back” on October 10, 2020, in collaboration with the Youth Empowerment club of ISKCON Bangalore.

Faculty of Engineering & Technology, Jain (Deemed-to-be University) has always believed in the idea of holistic development to produce engaged, productive, and contributing students to build an equitable and inclusive society. The university focuses on nurturing the mental, physical, and intellectual growth that promotes intrapersonal competencies, interpersonal relationship skills, civic responsibilities among the students.

Keeping those objectives in mind the webinar “Set Back to Come Back was conducted” which was a great learning experience for all the participants that included the students, research scholars, faculty members, and NSS volunteers.

The keynote speaker for the event was Sri, Rama Sevaka Dasa, a renowned personality trainer with Akshaya Patra Foundation. He enlightened the participants on adopting a positive approach towards life by emphasizing points such as

  • How to stay focused on the new style of learning through online platforms
  • Transforming failures into opportunity
  • How to deal with obstacles and make a strong comeback
  • To lead a purpose-oriented life

He also spoke about the three types of setbacks which are internal, external, and then a mixture of both which can be turned into strong comebacks with the help of yoga, maintaining a balance between personal and professional life, etc. The webinar was immensely insightful and impactful for the participants.
