JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, hosted a webinar titled mHealth 3.0: Combining Mobile Phones with Artificial Intelligence for Disease Screening and Diagnostics on 3rd June 2022 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The guest speaker for the webinar was Dr. Richard Ribon Fletcher, Research scientist - University of Massachusetts Medical School, Department of Psychiatry, Boston, USA.

Dr. Shweta Gupta, Associate Professor - Electronics and Communications Engineering and coordinator for this session, welcomed Dr. Richard Fletcher and participants to the webinar. In his address, Dr. Fletcher gave insights into the thermal camera that can be used to monitor the temperature of patients without any physical contact. He briefed about the surgical wound infection that would benefit women immensely. During this informative session, Dr. Fletcher also stated the pros and cons of cardiovascular diseases. He highlighted mhealth and pulmonary diagnostic concepts and suggested ways to utilise a mobile phone to diagnose people. The speaker shared his experience of research with the participants.

The lecture was followed by the question and answer session, where Dr. Fletcher answered all the queries raised by the participants. Nearly 325 students participated in this webinar. Dr. Shweta Gupta concluded the session by thanking the speaker of the day and all participants for attending the webinar.
