National Science Day is celebrated on 28 February in order to commemorate the discovery of the Raman Effect by Indian Physicist Sir C. V. Raman. A particular theme is chosen every year during National Science Day Celebration organised in the Universities. The theme of this year was “Wealth from Waste”.

National Science Day was celebrated at School of Engineering and Technology, Jain (Deemed-to-be University) on 28 February 2020. Various events like poster presentation and model making were conducted. In this occasion, the Atom club organized the hands on experience workshops to students on Two Wheeler engine assemble and dismantle, computer and laptop assembling and dismantling. In association with mechanical department 3D printing workshops was also conducted to the students. Around 150 students participated in various activities. Distribution of cash prizes, certificates and participation certificates to all the winners and participants of the various competitions concluded the event.
