The Faculty of Engineering & Technology, JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) celebrated the Rashtriya Ekta Divas on 03rd November 2022 at JAIN Global Campus. The Rashtriya Ekta Divas or National Unity Day is celebrated every year on 31st October to mark the birth anniversary of the Iron Man of India Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, who played a remarkable role in unifying all the territories of India after attaining freedom in 1947.

The Rashtriya Ekta Divas or National Unity Day is celebrated to re-affirm or nation’s inherent strength and resilience to withstand the actual and potential threats to our country’s unity, integrity and security.

Dr.S.A.Hariprasad, Director, Faculty of Engineering & Technology, JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), Chief Guest inaugurated the event and delivered a short speech on the importance of National Unity Day by remembering the achievements and sacrifices made by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel for uniting the country post-independence.  Dr.S.A, Hariprasad, further delivered the oath of unity to all the students and faculty members on the eve of National Unity Day.

Pledge
“I Solemnly pledge that I decide myself to preserve the unity, integrity and security of the nation and also strive hard to spread this message among my fellow countrymen, I take this pledge in the spirit of unification of my country which made possible by the vision and actions of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. I also solemnly resolve to make my own contribution to ensure internal security of my country”.

The programme concluded with great enthusiasm with the active participation of both students and faculty of FET, JAIN (Deemed-to-be University). The event inculcated the spirit of unity in diversity among the students and inspired them to stay united to serve the nation.
