Bengaluru, 28 November 2025: The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (IoT), in association with the ZIGBEE Club, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), successfully conducted REZONIX Researchathon 2025, a three-week interdisciplinary research challenge designed to promote a strong culture of “Research, Present, and Publish”.
The Researchathon was held across multiple phases between 5 and 28 November 2025, culminating in a highly competitive final round at the Seminar Hall, JAIN (Deemed-to-be University). Structured into Foundation, Development, and Culmination weeks, the event guided participants from problem identification to solution development and final research presentation. Only the top 20 shortlisted teams advanced to the final stage, ensuring academic rigour and research excellence.
The primary objective of REZONIX Researchathon 2025 was to ignite curiosity and cultivate a sustained research mindset among students across all disciplines and academic years. The initiative significantly enhanced participants’ skills in critical thinking, deep research, collaboration, and solution-oriented problem-solving, while bridging the gap between theoretical concepts and real-world applications.
The official inauguration commenced at 1:30 pm and was graced by distinguished academicians, including Mr Deepak Sinha, Deputy Director, FET; Dr Kamlesh Tiwari, Head of the Department, CSE; Dr Vikram Neerugatti, Programme Head, CSE (IoT); Dr Mahesh T. R., Programme Head, CSE and recognised among the world’s top 2% scientists; and Mr Basavaraju D. R., Club Coordinator.
The dignitaries emphasised research-oriented learning, ethical research practices, innovation, and effective collaboration. Interactive activities, including an Imposter Game and a Technical Quiz, encouraged active participation, with cumulative scores contributing to final cash prize allocations.
Three-Week Research Challenge
The Researchathon resulted in the generation of innovative ideas with strong potential for patents and publications in reputed research journals. Cash prizes were awarded to the top three research teams and quiz winners in recognition of their exceptional performance.
The closing ceremony marked a celebratory conclusion to the three-week programme, acknowledging the efforts of participants, mentors, the ZIGBEE Club, and IoT department faculty. The event reinforced the importance of early and continuous engagement in research, encouraging students to pursue innovation beyond the traditional curriculum.
REZONIX Researchathon 2025 concluded on an enthusiastic and impactful note, successfully setting a new standard for interdisciplinary research initiatives and establishing a strong foundation for future student-led innovation under the theme “Where Ideas Meet Innovation.”
